Brian English named assistant principal of Yokota High School

Mr. Brian English, Assistant Principal, Yokota High School

Yokota, Japan – Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Pacific East District Superintendent Dr. Jacqueline Ferguson is pleased to announce the selection of Mr. Brian English as assistant principal of Yokota High School.

Mr. English began his career in education in 2005 in the Peoria Unified School District in the West Valley of Phoenix. He joined DoDEA in 2016 at Bahrain Middle High School. Mr. English was named a Teacher of Promise in the Peoria District and while in Bahrain, he was nominated as Teacher of the Year for the Europe South District. Mr. English then joined the Pacific East District in the 2022-23 school year as an assistant principal at The Sullivans School in Yokosuka, Japan. 

Mr. English completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Northern Arizona University in 2002. He earned a Master of Arts in Education from Arizona State University in 2008. He returned to his alma mater, ASU, and continued his education, earning an additional Master of Arts in Educational Leadership in 2013. 

Mr. English is excited to join Yokota High School and continue his educational and leadership journey as a Panther. He is looking forward to establishing relationships within the Yokota complex.
