Our School Advisory Committee (SAC) election committee is soliciting an eligible parent candidate to be part of our Yokota High School (YHS) SAC.
Purpose: A SAC is established for each DoDEA overseas school and is comprised of parents, teachers, and other stakeholders who have a vested interest in quality education at the school.
•Advise the principal and installation commander on policies and programs within their purview.
•Foster communications among administrators, military leaders, parents, and students.
•Provide a coordinated process to address and resolve issues at the lowest level.
•Facilitate problem solving and recommend action to appropriate officials.

SACcandidates may be nominated in writing by a member of the SAC electorate or eligible candidates can nominate themselves. We will solicit candidates using the form attached.
Parent SAC member Eligibility
Musta parent/legal guardian/sponsor of a DoDEA student attending the DoDEA schools served by the SAC. These individuals must have a dependent student registered and enrolled or conditionally enrolled in the DoDEA school and be of voting age(18).
1. Must be on orders to reside in the area serving the DoDEA student.
2.May be an active-duty service member or family member.
3.May be a parent/legal guardian/sponsor that is not active-duty service member.
4.May be a DoDEA school employee who is also a parent/legal guardian/sponsor of a student enrolled in the DoDEA schools. The individual may elect to run as a parent/legal guardian/sponsor or as a DoDEA school employee, but not both.
